Philadelphia PA (February 1, 2024) – Rawle & Henderson LLP is pleased to announce that Philadelphia attorneys Anisha S. Abraham and Jennifer L. Seme have been promoted to partner.
“As the oldest law firm in the United States, we are proud to carry on the tradition and legacy of legal excellence,” said Executive Committee Member John C. McMeekin II. “Anisha and Jennifer have demonstrated their legal abilities and enjoy the confidence and respect of their colleagues, peers and clients. They make us proud to be lawyers and to have them as our partners.”
Anisha S. Abraham has over 15 years of experience handling environmental, mass and toxic torts/asbestos, general liability defense, construction litigation, premises liability, products liability, employment law and workers’ compensation matters. She has conducted jury trials and bench trials involving premises liability and personal injury claims, and has had motions for summary judgment granted after mediation has failed.
Examples of Anisha’s litigation successes include obtaining summary judgment for a defendant in a an asbestos products liability case on the grounds that the mere presence of a manufacturer’s alleged asbestos-containing product at a particular work site is not sufficient to defeat a motion for summary judgment.
Anisha is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.
“Since joining the firm, Anisha has proven herself to be an outstanding litigator, who is hard working, dependable and energetic, and regularly provides outstanding service to the clients that she represents,” said John McMeekin. “I am personally thrilled by her elevation to partner and look forward to the continued growth of both her practice, abilities and legal acumen as an exceptional partner of our firm.”
Anisha is a graduate of Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, who joined the Firm in August of 2020 as Of Counsel. For additional information, visit https://rawle.com/attorneys/anisha-s-abraham/
