Julie Friedman participated in a panel discussion on Voir Dire – The Art of Jury Deselection  at the 28th Annual National Forum for Environmental & Toxic Tort Issues (FETTI)  (September 21 –  23, 2022) in Chicago, IL.  Ms. Friedman and her fellow panelists discussed: (a) the goals and objectives when picking a jury; (b) comment mistakes and how to avoid them;
(c) myths about jury selection; and, (d) Pandemic-Era issues. Each year FETTI convenes in the Chicago area to host a world-class seminar on a broad range of environmental issues with nationally recognized speakers.

Ms. Friedman, a partner in our Pittsburgh Office, defends manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors in mass and toxic tort litigation, with an emphasis on asbestos litigation.
