Rawle & Henderson LLP Partner John McMeekin to Lead American Bar Association’s 2023-2024 Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Leadership Academy

Philadelphia PA (October 2, 2023) – Rawle & Henderson LLP partner John C. McMeekin II will serve as the Co-Chair of the 2023-2024 Tort Trial and Insurance Practice (TIPS) Leadership Academy, which will take place at the TIPS Fall Meeting on October 12-14. There will be five sessions over three days of the Fall Meeting.
The TIPS Leadership Academy provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop a vision to lead the legal profession and serve the public. It strives to increase diversity of leadership within local communities, and build relationships among different leaders and legal professionals across the country. Mr. McMeekin has been active in the ABA and its leadership in areas of practice, governance and public service for many years. In February of 2023, he was elected to a three-year term on the ABA’s House of Delegates, which is the policy making body of the largest volunteer association of lawyers in the world. In addition, Mr. McMeekin currently serves on the ABA Section Officer Committee, the ABA Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, and has been appointed to the ABA Annual Meeting Task Force. In previous years, Mr. McMeekin’s ABA leadership included TIPS Council, Revenue Officer, Secretary, and substantive practice roles, serving as Chair of the Toxic Tort & Environmental Law Committee, Chair of the International Law Committee, Chair of the CLE Board, and the Co-Chair of the ABA Corporate Counsel Initiative Task Force.
