Philadelphia Inquirer features Rawle & Henderson LLP in its May 6 issue

Published on May 13, 2014

The May 6, 2014 issue of The Philadelphia Inquirer included a feature story on Rawle & Henderson, recognizing it as the oldest law firm in the United States.

In “Looking back at 231 years of legal work: Rawle & Henderson in Philadelphia is considered the oldest U.S. law firm,” Inquirer reporter Chris Mondics takes an in-depth look at Rawle & Henderson and the firm’s ability to persevere over its long history.

“Think about any business being around for 230 years,” said Thomas Kuzmick, one of the firm’s managers. “There is something here that nobody else in the country can claim. You have to be able to adapt to changing times. If we were the same thing as in 1783, we wouldn’t be here. If we were the same thing as 1993, we wouldn’t be here.”

Today the firm has offices in Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and West Virginia.
