Hackensack, NJ (September 8, 2025) – Rawle & Henderson LLP is pleased to welcome Cataldo F. Fazio as Of Counsel in our Hackensack, NJ office.  He joins the firm’s Commercial Motor Vehicle, Maritime, Premises Liability, and Professional Responsibility and Legal Ethics practice groups, defending clients in civil litigation throughout New Jersey and New York.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fazio spent more than 25 years as managing attorney of the Fazio Law Firm, following a decade as a litigator in the public and private sectors.  He has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney since 2006.  He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and holds an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Fazio also has considerable experience in alternate dispute resolution.  He has served as an arbitrator and mediator for the New Jersey Superior Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and in private forums in a variety of matters.

Mr. Fazio is also quite familiar with the other side of the bench, with more than 25 years of judicial experience.  As a Municipal Court Judge and Chief Judge in New Jersey (1995-2023), and Administrative Law Judge for the Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor (2017-2023), he presided over hundreds of trials and hearings in criminal, DWI and administrative matters.  Earlier this year, he was appointed Administrative Law Judge for the New York Waterfront Commission.  Based on his experience and reputation, Mr. Fazio was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve on its District VI Ethics and Fee Arbitration Committees, and later as a Special Ethics Master and Adjudicator.

Mr. Fazio is a graduate of New York Law School, and has completed the Harvard Law School Negotiation and Leadership Certification program. He is admitted to practice in U.S. District Courts of New Jersey and New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits.
