Philadelphia, PA (February 6, 2026) – The Delaware County Council of Delaware County, Pennsylvania reappointed Rawle & Henderson Partner John C. McMeekin II to its Board of Elections, swearing him in on January 29, 2026. The Board of Elections is comprised of three Delaware County residents, each of whom serves a two-year term. Mr. McMeekin’s term will run through December of 2028.

In response to his reappointment, Mr. McMeekin said “I am very proud to serve the citizens of Delaware County and appreciate the support of the members of County Council and those who proposed me as a candidate.”

Mr. McMeekin has many years of public service in Delaware County having served as a firefighter, emergency medical technician, school board member, and Radnor Township Parks and Recreation Board Member. He was recently honored by the Radnor Township League of Women Voters, who acknowledged his commitment to public service and awarded him their Annual Civic Participation Award. Mr. McMeekin also has served in leadership positions on the boards of the Delaware County Intermediate Unit, the Delaware County Area Vocational-Technical School and the Delaware County Community College. He has been a member of the Delaware County Community Foundation Board of Directors since 2007.
