Rachel E. Lutz is Of Counsel in the Pittsburgh PA office. She has been successfully defending clients in matters relating to premises liability, catastrophic loss, commercial motor vehicles and the companies that insure them, environmental, product liability and toxic tort.

Ms. Lutz earned her J.D. at West Virginia University College of Law, where she was a regional semi-finalist at the ABA Labor & Employment Trial Advocacy competition, and a CALI award recipient for Employment Law. She earned her B.A. in history and psychology from Bethany College, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Prior to joining Rawle, Ms. Lutz counseled a number of energy, oil, gas, and mineral-related clients on transactional matters, including title examination, oil and gas title opinions, curative matters, and due diligence. In addition, she has served as in-house counsel for an energy company, where she focused on title and curative matters.
In its 2021 and 2023 editions, Ms. Lutz was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in their “Ones to Watch” category in the area for Energy Law
When not practicing law, Ms. Lutz is involved in community activities. She was a Member of the Board of Directors of CASA for Kids of Washington County, PA from 2015 to 2020, and is still a member of the organization today.
