Patrick T. Finnegan
Patrick T. Finnegan is a Partner in Rawle & Henderson’s Philadelphia office. Mr. Finnegan is a veteran civil defense litigator who has successfully represented individuals, corporations, and insurance companies in casualty, consumer products liability, class actions, general liability, insurance coverage and toxic torts. He has served as a National and Regional Coordinating Counsel for several industrial product manufacturers, managing the defense and the litigation teams for cases throughout the United States. Mr. Finnegan’s practice in mass tort litigation developed his team approach to multi-disciplinary litigation, managing teams of legal and subject area experts.
Mr. Finnegan has practical hands-on experience as a professional general contractor. He brings this experience and understanding of construction methodology, staging, interplay of trades and the roles of general contractors, subcontractors and architects to the representation of his architect, engineer and contractor clients.
Mr. Finnegan developed a passion for constitutional issues at a young age. He expanded that appreciation in law school, and subsequently into the representation of Rawle & Henderson’s state, municipal and governmental agencies, as well as school districts in civil rights litigation and administrative matters in federal courts throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
From 1998 through 2015, Mr. Finnegan was selected to serve on of the board of directors of a Pennsylvania-chartered Community Credit Union. He led the Policy Review Committee, ensuring legal compliance, governance and policy management.
While studying law at Widener University, Mr. Finnegan served as law clerk to the Honorable Francis A. Biunno in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Trial Division, Criminal section.
Mr. Finnegan has strong ties to the Philadelphia-area. Currently a resident of Haddonfield, NJ, he and his wife ran the Haddonfield youth wrestling program for six years and his eldest son is a firefighter for Cherry Hill, NJ. Mr. Finnegan keeps beehives and chickens in his backyard, and is an avid gardener, fisherman and hunter.
