Nigel A. Greene has over 20 years of trial experience and a documented record of success as a litigator. Mr. Greene earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was active in Moot Court competition and trial clinics. He received his undergraduate degree from the Virginia Polytechnic and State University. Mr. Greene began his legal career serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia in the Major Trials Unit where he successfully prosecuted hundreds of cases, including jury trials, involving major felonies.
Mr. Greene transitioned to civil litigation in 2000. As a civil litigation attorney, Mr. Greene focuses his practice on the defense of commercial motor vehicle companies, casualty, general liability, commercial and residential premises liability, tort defense and municipal liability litigation. His clients include international, national, regional, and local companies, in addition to municipalities, who value intelligent, diligent, pro-active, and cost-effective representation. Mr. Greene works closely with his clients to get them the best outcomes given all of the circumstances. His clients appreciate his demonstrated ability to master the facts and apply the law to favorably resolve cases either through settlement or trial.
Mr. Greene is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit. As a civil attorney, he has tried cases to verdict in State and Federal Courts in addition to handling State Court appeals.
Mr. Greene currently serves as Vice-Chair of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) Commercial Transportation Litigation General Committee; Vice-Chair to the Litigation and Trial Practice General Committee; and Vice Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Trucking Industry Defense Association and the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia. In addition, he serves as an arbitrator in Philadelphia County.
Outside of the office, Mr. Greene is a husband and father and has served his community as a lieutenant in the volunteer fire company. He is also an avid cyclist and has twice completed the historic Paris Brest Paris 1200K cycling event.
