Loreto (Larry) P. Rufo is a partner in the Firm’s Wilmington office representing small and large businesses, local and international corporations, as well as medical health care providers, accountants, attorneys and individuals in complex multi-party litigation, including but not limited to toxic tort matters.

Mr. Rufo has served as Defense Coordinating Counsel and Defense Medical Coordinator in Delaware I asbestos litigation from 2002 – present. 

From 1990 – 2000 Mr. Rufo represented and managed the interests of children as Court Appointed Special Advocate by appointment of the Family Court of the State of Delaware (DE).

Mr. Rufo’s community involvement included service as an Alderman for the City of Newark, DE from 1991-2002. He held hearings and determined charges brought under provisions of the Newark City Code, including traffic offenses, zoning ordinances, and misdemeanor-level criminal offenses. Mr. Rufo was responsible for all aspects of the administration of Newark City Court including personnel matters, record keeping and statistical data functions, scheduling, policy development and enforcement, and day-to-day operations.
