Brett Kanter is an Associate in our downtown New York City office. Mr. Kanter represents clients in matters such as casualty issues, commercial litigation, commercial motor vehicle, construction, employment relations, medical professional liability, premises liability, and professional liability.

Mr. Kanter earned his Juris Doctor at St. John’s University School of Law. While there, Mr. Kanter interned at the Nassau County District Attorney’s office and the Broome County District Attorney’s office. He served as judicial intern in New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division for the Honorable Vito DeStefano assisting in drafting orders and decisions and researching current case law. Mr. Kanter was a staff member of the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development and a staff member of the Commercial Division Online Law Report.

Prior to joining Rawle, Mr. Kanter provided counsel to Plaintiffs involved in personal injury and medical malpractice suits, providing him valuable insight. He handled those cases from pre-litigation phases through summary judgment motion practice, and oral arguments.
